Techniq World

Editorial policy

Techniq World is a technology desk. This page explains who publishes the site, how a piece is checked, and how to ask for a correction.

Who publishes

Articles are published by the Techniq World editorial desk. A byline that says Techniq World is the desk, not a claim that one named reporter tested the product by hand.

How a piece is made

A draft starts from source excerpts gathered for that subject. Prices, specifications, dates, and commands stay out of the article when those excerpts do not contain them. The desk checks the draft against that excerpt set before publishing.

Automation helps collect sources and draft the first version. A human review is required before a post leaves the review queue.

What each form is for

  • News tells what changed.
  • A deal states a price that appears in the sources.
  • A review waits until the sources include enough specifications.
  • A comparison names both products.
  • A guide includes a step that appears in the sources.
  • An incident names what broke and is updated on the same URL when the status changes.

Corrections

If a price, specification, or step is wrong, send the article URL and the correct detail through the contact page. The correction is made on the same URL, and the updated date on the article changes.
